About the Role

We are partnering with a leading global bank to hire an APAC Events Strategy Specialist to lead the planning and execution of high-profile client events, executive engagements, leadership forums, and strategic internal programs across the Asia Pacific region.

This is a highly visible role responsible for shaping and delivering a regional events strategy that supports business growth, strengthens client relationships, and enhances stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will bring a blend of event strategy, project management expertise, operational excellence, and executive stakeholder management, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

APAC Events Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive APAC events strategy aligned with regional business objectives and stakeholder priorities.
  • Plan and deliver client engagement programs, leadership forums, strategic internal events, and market-focused initiatives across the region.
  • Ensure all events align with business goals, audience expectations, brand standards, and local market considerations.

Executive Visits & Leadership Engagements

  • Lead the planning and execution of executive visits across APAC, including leadership meetings, client engagements, office visits, town halls, roundtables, and hospitality programs.
  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders to ensure each engagement is strategically positioned, seamlessly coordinated, and delivers an exceptional experience for clients and employees.

Markets Events Management

  • Manage high-profile markets-related events, including client conferences, thought leadership forums, networking events, market outlook sessions, and bespoke hospitality experiences.
  • Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to define event objectives, key messaging, audience strategies, and measurable outcomes.

End-to-End Event Delivery

  • Manage all aspects of event execution from concept development through post-event evaluation.
  • Coordinate venue sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, production and AV requirements, catering, travel logistics, transportation, attendee registration, guest management, and onsite delivery.
  • Develop contingency plans and proactively address operational risks to ensure seamless execution.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Corporate Communications, Compliance, Risk, Security, Corporate Services, business leaders, executive assistants, and regional partners to deliver successful events and executive engagements.
  • Build effective relationships across global and regional teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Develop and manage event budgets across multiple APAC markets.
  • Monitor spend, process invoices, and oversee procurement activities while ensuring cost efficiency and quality delivery.
  • Negotiate with venues, agencies, production partners, and suppliers to maximize value and maintain high standards.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic vendor partnerships across the region.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all events adhere to corporate branding, compliance, procurement, risk, and governance requirements.
  • Navigate approval processes and internal controls while maintaining exceptional event standards.

Event Technology & Digital Experiences

  • Utilize event technology platforms to enhance attendee experiences across physical, virtual, and hybrid events.
  • Manage registration systems, event websites, attendee communications, mobile event applications, virtual platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Drive innovative and engaging event experiences through the effective use of technology.

AI-Enabled Event Innovation

  • Leverage AI-powered solutions to improve event planning, audience targeting, content personalization, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance attendee engagement, automate workflows, generate insights, and improve event ROI through emerging technologies.

Measurement, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish success metrics and evaluate event performance through attendee feedback, engagement analytics, and business outcomes.
  • Deliver post-event reporting with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development of event playbooks, best practices, standard operating procedures, and scalable processes to drive consistency and operational excellence across APAC.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Professional certifications in Event Management, Project Management, Marketing, or Hospitality.
  • 5-10 years of experience in event management, experiential marketing, hospitality, corporate events, or a related field, preferably within financial services, professional services, B2B marketing, or a multinational organization.
  • Proven track record managing complex, large-scale events across the APAC region, including client events, executive visits, leadership forums, conferences, and strategic internal programs.
  • Solid understanding of markets-related events and experience supporting high-profile client engagement initiatives aligned with commercial objectives and relationship management priorities.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives across countries, time zones, and stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior executives and business leaders, managing high-touch engagements with professionalism, discretion, and executive presence.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building capabilities, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across regional and global teams.
  • Proven experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, procurement activities, invoice processing, and supplier negotiations while maintaining a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost optimization.
  • Proficiency in event technology platforms such as Cvent, Salesforce, Workfront, ON24, virtual and hybrid event solutions, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools and emerging technologies that support event planning, audience engagement, content development, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, sound problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and self-motivated, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
